Next Generation Workshop – Leading Housebuilders Have Their Say!
A recent workshop facilitated by the UK Green Building Council and JLL allowed leading UK housebuilders to contribute to the development of the Home Quality Mark.
The workshop was organised as part of the NextGeneration initiative, designed to enable industry to understand what opportunities and risks the sustainable housing agenda presents through benchmarking their performance. Attendees leaned the key principles of the Home Quality Mark, explored its practical use and provided feedback for ongoing development. Through presentations and interactive exercises delegates had the opportunity to identify areas for further discussion and worked collaboratively to share their industry views and develop the HQM. The HQM provided a structure for a wider discussion of the ‘value’ of new homes from the housebuyer perspective. Thanks to all who took part and the UK GBC and JLL for facilitating the event.
