The beta version of the HQM technical standard was published towards the end of December. This was the culmination of a technical consultation carried out throughout last year with input from a wide variety of stakeholders at over 50 national events including private and social housing developers, professional bodies, the financial sector, designers, consultants and consumers.
HQM assessment registrations are now open in England (Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will follow). Registrations are free of charge for the first six months of operation following the publication of the standard.

The assessor will take you through the registration process and start the process of carrying out the assessment on your project.
While it is a fully functioning scheme, industry is being encouraged to provide feedback on their in-use experiences which will be used to inform the next version. We are very grateful for all support that we have had so far in the development of the HQM, there is already significant knowledge of the scheme which we will build upon over the coming year.
