Throughout April we ran a series of introductory roadshows at 3 venues around the UK, supported by Kingspan Group. There was a positive response and interest in the development of the Home Quality Mark, from a mixed audience of developers, architects, local authorities and others. “I am glad to have attended yesterday’s informative and insightful session” said one delegate from London. “It was really interesting to see where the industry is going and I’m sure the scheme will be very well received by our customers” said one social housing manager. Much of the discussion at the events centred around how HQM would seek to communicate the benefits of a sustainable, quality home to homebuyers and the general public. HQM’s approach with a concise set of assessment areas and clear communication on key performance indicators was warmly received.
In May we were at Grand Designs Live in London gathering feedback from homeowners, self-builders and architects. More events are planned for the rest of the UK as we build up to the full launch of the scheme in early October.
